Therapist Intern
Hello! My name is Jennifer Goss. I have spent my entire childhood and adult life in Southern California. I’m happy to still be living here and serving my community.
My passion for working in the mental health field stems from the influence of role models that helped guide and support me through tragedy and loss early in my life. Providing others a safe place in therapy to uncover, explore, and discover underlying feelings is of utmost importance to me and I do this by helping my clients find potential solutions to obstacles and challenges that they may be facing. It is my hope that you’ll discover your personal capabilities in utilizing effective coping strategies to manage challenging emotions, and work on enhancing their personal strengths within their personal therapy sessions. It is my hope that you will be able to continue living a healthy, fulfilling, satisfying life through my guidance so that they may rediscover their personal independence, resiliency, and dedication.
I believe that in utilizing both a traditional method of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in addition to solution-focused therapy, clients can begin working to identify thoughts and behaviors that may be negatively impacting their quality of life and can begin working to reframe those thinking patterns as a means to improve their overall mental health. In utilizing CBT with clients, it is my hope to challenge and assist you with changing your thinking patterns, along with exploring alternative solutions to problems and situations experienced through life.
In my personal life, some my passions are fitness, hiking and traveling. I enjoy spending my weekends venturing out to new hikes with my dog and I am passionate and dedicated to weight training at the gym.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am looking forward to working with you.
