Therapist Intern
I believe our lives are profoundly shaped by the breaking of trust and security in our closest attachments. As a therapist, I strive to create a sense of safety and security where my clients can feel comfortable being their true selves, embracing the different parts of your complex identity and unique life path.
My journey into mental health began in 2020, working with adults in intensive care who were experiencing various forms of psychosis and homelessness. Following that, I shifted into working with all age groups in a community mental health setting.
Beyond my passion for healing, I find joy in life-giving activities such as caring for my indoor plants, visiting art museums and gardens, going on walks and hikes, and exploring fashion. I commit to continuing my own personal work in therapy in order to bring my whole self into the room of therapy.
Treatment Approach:Â I integrate elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and DBT to support their growth.
Age Groups:Â Preteens, Teens, Adults, Elders (65+)
Specialties:Â I employ a person-centered approach, empowering my clients to set and pursue their own goals. I had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults facing challenges related to identity, trauma, familial and relationship issues, life transitions, grief, existential concerns, spirituality, sexual and substance addiction, anxiety, and depression.
